FISHING
Fishing with Outdoor Realities and Charter Captain Enzo Cerqua is an experience that you don’t want to pass up. Muskie fishing with Enzo isn’t just about putting a few fish in the boat. It is about putting a customer on a world-class muskie. Due to past tournament successes and quality fish caught on past TV shows with Pete Maina “The Next Bite” or with Bass Pro Shop (Outdoor World), is all the credibility I need. Let the live footage be my proof and not an album of pictures that took 10 to 15 years of fishing to put together. Twenty-five years of experience fishing on Lake St. Clair and it’s connecting waters will be a big advantage on finding fish on slow days. A guarantee is on all charters. When Enzo grabs the leader, it will be considered a caught fish. Casting for muskies will begin the first Saturday in June until the growth of weeds gives the muskies too much cover to fish effectively. Trolling for muskies will start the first Saturday in June until the cold weather makes it impossible to fish.
Walleye fishing in 2005 was very consistent. I
averaged 29 walleyes a trip whether we were jigging in the river or
trolling in the main lake. Jigging in the Detroit or St. Clair
River starts when all of the ice is gone, which is usually late
March or early April. We’ll make the change to lake fishing as fish
start to leave the river around late May or early June. Jigging for
walleyes is a hand on type of fishing. Concentration will be the
biggest part of your success. When trolling on the lake, customers
will have the option of either rod in hands or fishing with planer
boards, unless I feel there is an advantage either way. In that
event, it will be discussed as a group as to what the water or
weather conditions will allow us to do. A guaranteed walleye is a
walleye in the boat.
Bass fishing will begin the last Saturday in May. Lake St. Clair has one of the world’s best small mouth fisheries. Casting with artificial bait at many of my tournament winning waypoints or drifting over them with live bait will produce consistent action all day long. The option that will be the most effective will be discussed prior to the charter. This is also a guaranteed charter. If no fish are caught, than half of the cost of the charter will be refunded.
Perch fishing will be done with live bait in the Spring and Fall. It is usually done as a combination trip with bass fishing. Perch fishing has been very spotty with one day boating 300 perch and the next day only 30. It will be discussed before the charter as to how the fishing has been. Perch usually shut down around 10:00 a.m. so at that point, we will pull out the bass or muskie rods to keep the action going throughout the charter. There will be a 100% effort in avoiding any downtime. Your cooperation and trust in your captain will be needed to accomplish this.
